Limited Edition Tour 2007: Baltimore or Bust!

Baltimore, 'The Greatest City in America', 'Crabtown', 'Monument City', 'The City That Reads' (wait, what?) is my next destination! Maryland, crabcakes and wine making will be the topics of the day as I give a lecture and wine tasting for kit makers in the US east.

I don't do many consumer events any more: as much as I enjoy them, it's getting so there aren't enough weeks in the fall for me to cram in all the seminars I have to give. But I'm really looking forward to seeing Charm City and environs. My trusty man on the Ground is David from LD Carlson, our US distributor, and I'm sure he knows where all the good crabcakes are at.

I'm pretty fussy about crabcakes. My wife's are just about the best I've ever tasted (I'm not just saying that because I known which side of my bed is buttered) and we get some pretty good local crab around here. I'm looking forward to getting my mitts on some good seafood and seeing how it compares. Nom nom nom!

Looks like I'm poking my noggin into Pennsylvania on Wednesday too: I got a note from a senior representative of the US government requesting a meeting with me on the visit--I quickly checked my conscience and wondered what it could be . . . turns out it's about winemaking! Even the folks who turn the wheels of government have discovered the joys of home winemaking, and this chap is an advanced and energetic user of our kits.

Wine kits: is there no gap they cannot bridge, no life they cannot make brighter?
