Compliments of the Season

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree
'Tis the season to be jolly! After all the running around is done, the visiting past and the shopping finished (I hope!) it's time to sit down and spend quality holiday time at home, communing with those closest to you--I mean, of course, the contents of your cellar.
Kidding! Of course this is a time for family and friends (which designations don't necessarily cross, but this is the time of year to forgive old differences) and sharing the blessings we have in our lives. I've hung the cat's stockings by the chimney (with care), the baking is finished, our Yule tree is up, and I attended a Sol Invictus celebration on the 22nd. The shopping is done for our turkey dinner (serving Pinot Blanc with it this year, as well as Millenium sparkling wine pre-dinner and Port, Stilton and Walnuts for afters) and all that remains is to wrap a few presents, and to grab a cup of the mulled wine the cats have got bubbling on the stove. Then it's time to curl up and watch 'A Christmas Carol' (the Alistair Sims version, of course), string some popcorn and toast to friends new and old.
From Tim's Blog, and everyone at Winexpert, may this season bring you joy and a warm heart, and may we all have peace and happiness in the new year.
