What Are You Doing New Years?

For the last 5 years I've been going to the Annual Lions Club Polar Bear Swim in my town. I was sorry to miss last year due to a nasty cold, but this year was perfect: chilly, but with very little wind and no rain (last year was nearly a storm!)
I registered at 11:00, and got changed into my beachwear:
What, you expected a Speedo?
Then, before I knew it, it was Polar Bear time!
Whee!
Was it cold?
coldcoldcold!
But I got my certificate, and headed home for mulled wine and a hot bath--that's the great thing about living right across the street from the beach!
No diploma was ever more righteously earned!
Now, everything else to come in 2008 will seem like a picnic! And I've got 364 more days before I have to do that again!
