Wine Blog Awards
Is that a blog in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?
The 2008 American Wine Blog Awards are here. Hosted by Tom Wark over at Fermentation Blog, it's a chance for readers to nominate their favorite blogs in eight categories from best writing, best reviewing, etc.
Tom is doing a great service to the blogging community by giving exposure to the genre. More readers, more interest and a greater dissemination of non-mainstream thinking on wine and wine issues can only make all the stakeholders in the industry sharper.
Check out Fermentation blog's list (it's down the right side, 'Wine Blogs You Need to Read') and give them a once-over. There's some really sharp writing and sharp thinking out there. I'm going to nominate a couple of really good blogs I like to read every day, as a way of saying 'thank-you' for making me think and providing fodder.
Nominations are open until February 27th, so don't delay. The folks who labour behind the keyboard with nothing but wine and the occasional cackle over their own opinions appreciate your support.
