I'm On My Way

It takes a villa to raise a criança
I'll be stepping out for a couple of weeks, taking my lovely wife on a well-earned vacation. It may seem a funny time for time-off, but I have to cram it in when I can: my schedule gets a little busy in the next few months. Luckily we don't have children, so we're able to go after spring break and beat a few of the crowds.
We're off to Portugal: Lisbon, Oporto and the Douro valley.

Don't let the hills terrace apart!
I've wrangled the opportunity to see a cork forest, and I plan to take as many pictures as I can, so expect to see many photos of sheared trees! I understand Portugal produces wine, so if there's time, I might have a glass or two while I'm there.
I'll be back in-country on the 19th, but that's also the day I fly to Ontario to visit with my friends in the Ontario Fermenter's Guild for their annual meeting in Markham Ontario (see what I said about my schedule?) I'm hopeful that I may be able to sneak a few blog entries in on the road, mainly when the missus isn't watching. For those keeping count the kitties are well looked after by their foster-parents (Hi guys!). I hope three extra bags of litter will cover it . . . so to speak.
