Utopian Behaviour and Thirst

Half-empty, half-full or connected by hoses?

You ever wake up in the morning and say to yourself, 'What I need is a way of ensuring that nobody can share wine without complete conscious cooperation" ? Yeah, me either. However, apparently there is someone who did wake up on that side of the cellar. The glasses pictured above aren't sealed at the bottom, but instead are connected by PVC tubing. Although they'll stand upright, when you fill one, the wine will flow to the lowest point until it reaches equilibrium in each glass.

It takes forever to fill this dang glass!

What good is that, you ask? Well, at the dinner table, if you go to take a drink, the second you lift your glass, your partner's glass will fill with wine and you get nothing--observe below:

Ahh! Zombies!

The idea is part of games theory: if you want to drink you have to cooperate with your partner, and each of you can influence how much wine the other gets, and how quickly they get it. Sound like fun? Personally I'm not sure. I do know, however, that I'd really need a drink if that grinning ghoul was sitting across from me.
