Win Free Stuff!

That mug is supposed to increase consumer acceptance? Maybe by driving them to drink.
It's
finally happened! The home winemaking instructional DVD, 'I Made This' is
in-stock and shipping now. I've blogged about the process of making the video–it
was pretty intense, writing, scripting (two different things, oddly) blocking,
directing, narrating and editing were all fascinating, but now I understand why
TV people make big money. It's because they earn it. And everything happens in slow motion, at super high-speed.
So to
celebrate my DVD release, I'm giving away three copies–hand-autographed by yours truly!–for those blog readers
who best answer the following skill-testing questions about yourself:
- Your favorite wine is (blank), because (blank).
- Your most memorable food and wine moment was (blank).
And that's not all! I'll throw in this absolutely beautiful varietal identification chart as well:

Charts to soothe the savage imbiber
Send your entries to: tim@winexpert.com. Contest closes August 31st at midnight-ish and three lucky winners will be the talk of their neighbourhood, what with the fancy charts and DVD's and such. Be sure to include your mailing address and your real name so I can put you on our mailing list and send you endless junk mail. No, wait, we don't do that. Just be sure to include shipping information in case you win! win! win!
For those not lucky enough to be in the top three finishers, we'll have the video broken into bits and posted on Youtube in the next couple of weeks–but it'll be low-res and you won't be able to see me in all my hideous glory, much less play it over and over again as an insomnia cure off-line, so enter early! All entries remain the property of Winexpert Limited and may be quoted on the blog, and really good ones will earn not just prizes but outright admiration.

Hey Tim,I watched (the copy I received on my last order) your video a couple nights ago, I thought it was great. I plan to give them away with all of my Starter Kit packages.

Okay, my favorite wine is actually a champagne - Iron Horse Champagne, which I first tried because it is the favorite champagne of a favorite fictional detective. (Spenser and Susan drink it with a splash of midori, which is very pretty.)My most memorable food and wine moment also involves champagne. For my 40th birthday, I went to Paris with friends to celebrate. We rented a fabulous apartment with a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower. Our final night in the city, we sat in our living room, drinking Veuve Cliquot (bought at the vineyard earlier that day) and watching the light show on the Eiffel Tower. As a way of turning 40, it did not suck.
