Conferences Call

Fourteen inches of black and white glory--who needs plasma? Other than vampires, I mean.
In accordance with the 'desert or deluge' principle at work in my work life, I've got a TV appearance tomorrow morning. Holy overexposure Batman! Luckily I'll probably be on for less than three minutes total.
Unluckily, it's breakfast TV, so I have to be on stage at 6:45 am. Those who know me know well that I'm not a morning person. Oh, sure I'm up at 6:55 every day for work (the joys of commuting in the lower mainland!) but for me a decent hour to become human and reach for the coffee is somewhere around 9-ish.
But I can't be sad: it's for a smashing good cause, The United Way. According to the press release:
On Thursday September 11th at approximately 7:20am- 9:30am PST, Tim Vandergrift, Winexpert's Technical Services Manager, Brad Hodson from Valley Estates, Winexpert's retailer in North Vancouver, and Denise Praill, Director of Strategic Partnerships from United Way, will be featured on Breakfast Television Live Eye segment.
Please tune in to Citytv this Thursday to watch while Brad and Tim explain the winemaking process, the partnership between Winexpert and United Way, how Winexpert is raising thousands to kick of United Way's corporate giving campaign and how Valley Estates is supporting this campaign in their local community.
For more information please visit Breakfast Television

For those not familiar with United way, it's an umbrella organisation of over 120 local voluntary organisations across ten provinces and two territories. They're the largest supporter of social services and voluntary organisations in Canada. We're very proud here at Winexpert to be partnered with them, and I think this year we'll even beat our fundraising total from last year.
If you're an early riser, I'll see you on the television!

WTG (way-to-go) Winexpert on partnering with the United Way. As we like to say here on the East Coast, "proper thing".
