In the Pink

David Shepherd and Travis Price, heroes.
Although it only seems like a year ago,Pink Shirt Day is upon us again. Inspired by a couple of Nova Scotia high-school kids who decided to stand up against bullying in their school by getting hundreds of students to turn out in pink. Christy Clark of CKNW radio has been instrumental in coordinating a Day of Pink, in cooperation with Boys and Girls clubs.
I'm as unlikely a target of bullying as could be, which makes it incumbent on me to stand up, and stand with those who could be targeted by bullies. Victims of bullying, witnesses of bullying and bullies themselves all experience very real and long term negative impacts from bullying. By saying no to bullying, by taking a stand, we can help heal the hurts it causes.
And that's a pretty cool thing. Check out some of the pictures from last year's event here, and wear your pink tomorrow, with me.
