Back in the Saddle

I been workin' in a coal mine
Goin' down down down
Workin' in a coal mine
Whop! about to slip down
Okay, sitting at a desk isn't the same thing as the brutal labour of the coal face, but I'm back from my vacation and feeling the agony of getting up and actually being expected to think coherently for hours and hours at a stretch.
My vacation was spectacular: I didn't go anywhere much, nor did I do anything of magnificence or significance--just the way I like it. We went to a parade and fireworks, had some awfully nice meals and some pretty vicious scrabble tournaments, and even went to see the Pink Floyd Laser Light Show at the HR MacMillan Planet-arium (oh my, cheesy good fun!)
But now it's back to reality and a lot of catching up. If you're expecting an email answer from me, be patient: the line is nearly 120 people long (that's after weeding out a lot more non-urgent stuff!) but I'll get to you in the next day or so, I promise.
I've got some wine reviews, some new product chit-chat and a lot of backed-up bile and vilification about the wine industry (as usual) coming up, as well as some pictures from my vacation and various whatnots. I did get one amusing commentary while I was off. Apparently there was some controversy about my poolside picture in my last blog entry, and an alternate shot was suggested by our graphic design company:

That's quite the fig leaf, and while I'm a company man through and through, I'm worried that the duck might get an idea about nibbling my grapes . . .
