Conference Blogging

The city has a thousand stories . . .

Hello Toronto! I'm blogging from the ballroom of the 2008 Winexpert Central Canada Authorised Retailer Conference, and now I'm exhausted from typing all that out. Today is a long day of me talking, and talking and talking about Operations Excellence in the on-premise operation--five hours of all-Tim, all the time, with a lively finish at the end with Dave Laroque doing a wine tasting/wine and food pairing to cap the day off.

I must admit, the weather Toronto has arranged for me is magnificent: overspray from Hurricane Ike. Meanwhile, back in White Rock it's 30C/90F, with brilliant sunshine and lashing bikinis everywhere. Gee whiz!

But it's great to see old and new friends: all the Winexpert Central Canada and Eastern salesfolk, all of our retailers from Toronto, Quebec and Eastern Canada (we've got it pretty much covered here, from New Brunswick to Thunder Bay!)

Can't hang about: the morning session on Inventory Management went well (despite my mathematical confusion) but I've got 4 and a half hours more talking to do, if I last . . .
