New Year, New Year
Like sands through the hourglass, these are the days of our livesHappy New Year to all of you, my friends. May this coming year bring peace, happiness and contentment for you and all those you love.
It's traditional to make resolutions on New Year's, but I really only have one: I never, ever want to have another year like 2011 on my dance card. I don't want to be a gloomy Gus on a festive night, but a very boring and uneventful 2012 would be just what the doctor ordered (literally).
For all of you who enjoy reading my stuff (get a life!) I do have one resolution: to catch up on some important blogging that has slipped by me while I was distracted. In the meantime, enjoy yourself and keep those you love close to you--and if you're looking, I hope you may find someone to love as well.
Cheers!

Then I wish you exactly that, a boring year, full of routine and predictable serenity.
Thanks Ruth--boring sounds just fine right now.

Happy New Year Tim,
Sorry to learn of your personal challenges. I am sure that after the requisite chain of three events, you will be able to move on and produce blog entries that have the usual “brand of snarky disdain for the opinions of other wine writers”. The posts containing your trademark “dismissive sneeriness” are missed by at least one reader, and likely many more.
Thanks Dave. One order of snark, coming up.
